I’m sure the more expensive ones that are wider give you more view but for the money this one works just fine. I’ve left it on the windshield by accident pulling the boat home. (20 miles) and it didn’t fall off and was still tight. If you want a cheap mirror that works good. This is worth the money.My Bass Tracker has a curved windshield. The last mirror I purchased disappeared somewhere on the highway. This time I drilled through the windshield and used longer mounting bolts. This one ain't coming off.We installed this on the windshield and it really helped the driver keep an eye on the people being towed. Observers sometimes get distracted by other riders, beautiful scenery, and taking photos so I always feel safer if the driver can also see what’s going on behind the boat.The pads that clamp onto your boats glass windshield/windshield frame are hard plastic they need to have added a rubber/foam pads so there is something to grip the frame. It just kept popping of the window frame. The tighter you clamp the easier it would pop off. It was toawrd the end of the season and did not want to keep messing with it. I returned it.It woks but it's built a little flimsy. Be careful not to tighten the thumbscrews very tight. I cracked the housing the first time I instlalled it.
